Stone Harbor Harvest Festival Activities Re-Scheduled For Sunday!



DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 - WE ARE POSTPONING OUR HARVEST FESTIVAL UNTIL SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30 - SAME TIME - SAME GREAT FUN!!!!!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.……. Severe high tides are expected along with flooding on Saturday, so events will be held on Sunday 11am - 4pm.

Stone Harbor will hold their first Harvest Festival on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH from 11 AM to 4 PM. The highlight of the event will be hayrides along the beach. Festival goers can pick-up the hayride in front the Stone Harbor Firehouse at 96th Street and 2nd Avenue and travel down 96th Street to the beach, ride along the beachfront and return to the Firehouse.

Trick or Treating in the downtown will be held during the day for all children wearing Halloween costumes. And at 2 PM, there will be a Pet Costume Contest in front of Paw Prints, 281 96th Street, prizes will be awarded. At 3 PM, there will be a costume parade for all children down 96th Street.

Throughout the day on 96th Street pumpkin painting and Halloween Arts and Crafts will be happening along with a Farmers Market, Artisans and a Halloween Magic Show. At the all-new Stone Harbor Book Shop there will be children's reading of The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything at 11AM and 1PM, Bats at the Beach at 3PM and Excerpts from Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark at 5PM.

Decorated Scarecrows by Stone Harbor merchants and organizations will be on display along 96th Street. Come vote for your favorite scarecrow.

The Harbor Haunted Hoot featuring entertainment and food specials from Carney's, Fred's and the Stone Harbor Bar and Grill will take place throughout the weekend.
