Philadelphia Flyers to Join the Fun at Barbecue & Blues Festival in Stone Harbor



Wednesday, August 3rd - from 4 PM to 9PM


Stone Harbor, NJ – Stone Harbor plays host to the 2nd Barbecue and Blues Night – Stone Harbor Style on Wednesday, August 3rd.   Philadelphia Flyers Ian Laperiere and Athletic Trainer Jim McCrossin along with other guests from the Flyers organization will be in attendance to make a check presentation to the American Legion from funds raised at the recent Trial on the Isle held in Stone Harbor.  The event will take place from 4 PM to 9PM at the Recreation Fields on 80th Street.

Music will be provided by the Kalob Griffin Band.

A barbecue dinner consisting of ribs, chicken and sides will be catered by Rode’s Famous Barbecue.  You can eat in under the tent and enjoy the festivities or take out is available.

In addition to the food which will be highlighted, the evening is a partnership among many community organizations in Stone Harbor and is sponsored by The American Legion Post 331, American Legion Auxiliary, Borough of Stone Harbor, Realty Owners Association of Stone Harbor, Stone Harbor Chamber, Stone Harbor Fire Department, Stone Harbor Lions Club, Stone Harbor Seniors, Nuns Beach Surf Contest, and the Women's Civic Club.  Each of these groups will be providing various forms of entertainment for the enjoyment of the attendees.  The Lions Club is planning a dunk tank with many local celebrities participating. There will be a moon bounce for kids as well as facepainting, sand art and other activities for children.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under.  Adult tickets the day of are $25.  A ticket is required for admittance to the food tent.  Tickets may be purchased through any of the sponsoring organizations or at the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center at 212 96th Street…… Reported By ROA of Stone Harbor
